HERE HE IS, Number 1 Ken, from the Mattel Catalogue.We can pretty safely assume that the first ads were done with at least some of the outfits still as prototypes: the black and white swim suit never happened in production, it was solid red,the short sleeves on the pyjamas were switched to long sleeves, and the t-shirt in casuals came as a boatneck, not with the roll collar shown. I wonder if the prototype still exist somewhere?
